The Grand Mall Hypermarket at West End Park, a unique commercial and entertainment complex in Mesaimeer close to the Industrial Area, will open to visitors tomorrow evening.
West End Park is the first commercial-cum-entertainment facility in the country targeting low- and middle-income expat workers besides other segments.
The hypermarket, the first shopping facility in Qatar of the Dubai-based Regency Group, is within the West End Park next to the Karwa headquarters, between Mesaimeer and Industrial Area.
Built on 10,000sqm, the mall provides a unique shopping experience with its world class amenities.
“Quality products at competitive prices will be our slogan and it will benefit our customers,” Anver Ameen Chelat, Managing Director, Regency Group & Grand Mall Qatar, told a press conference yesterday.
A major highlight of the mall is its hypermarket. Spread over 8000sqm and consisting a world class supermarket in the ground floor and a department store on the first floor, the mall provides all leading brands of FMCG, clothing, fashion accessories, hand bags, footwear, leather products, luggage, furniture, electrical and electronic appliances, home appliances, besides all the glamorous garbs for the young and trendy.
“In addition, you will find the city’s finest fashion, global brands, bookshops, Arab dress speciality stores, sports goods — essentially ‘Pin to Piano,’ all under one roof,” said Ashraf Cherakkal , Regional Director, Regency Group.
The bakery and hot food section of the hypermarket will be a major attraction. A food court, with a seating capacity of over 200, will serve Arabic, Chinese, Turkish, Indian, Nepalese, Bangladeshi and Philippine foods and flavours in its impressive dining hall on the first floor.
The mall also has a Gold Market, offering collections of gold, silver, and diamond jewellery, watches, crystals, pearls, sheer fabrics, antiques of different brands, cultures and traditions with a strong presence of many well-known jewellers around the globe.
Parking facility for more than 3,000 cars and 200 dedicated bus parking is another attraction of the mall.
Regency Group operates 32 retail outlets in the GCC and India and plans to add more. In Qatar, it will open three more stores in a year and more are in the pipeline.
A cultural show will be held at the mall this evening ahead of its official opening.
